Our Shepherds have been recognized among us as living examples of our vision to make disciples of Jesus Christ, who love God and others through relationships.
This special group of loving and Christlike men show us what it looks like to become someone who has both the desire and humility of Paul as he wrote in Philippians 3:10-14, "I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
These leaders put Jesus first in their lives, their families and all they do. They believe Jesus is the best news anyone could hear, and they are dedicated to living out and spreading that news to Amarillo and the world. They don't claim to be perfect, but they believe our Lord is, and His grace and truth have a powerful impact on them.
These men are safe, loving, and full of grace and truth. They want to be in relationship with you and usher you into relationships with the this group of followers at Southwest in order for you (and us) to be transformed more into the image of Christ.
Their prayer is that you will share the opportunity we have been given to be disciples of Jesus, and serve Him by joining us in the work here of befriending people, loving and serving them in the name of Christ with no strings attached, and praying that more people find the life they long for...the life of Christ.
